At the McGuckin house we begin our Easter celebration on Holy Saturday evening. We set the table all fancy, say some prayers together and feast on fresh seafood…one of the perks of living at the shore. Its great family time and a new tradition.
On Easter morning the kids had so much fun searching for their baskets and finding Easter eggs all over the house and yard.
Then we went to morning mass – which at this point in our lives consists of chasing a 1 year old around the back of the church – but nonetheless mass was beautiful.
After mass we left right for my parents house and had a lovely time- it’s rare that my sisters and I are all together at the same time so it was extra special. Also Frankie was inundated with cousins, including his newest cousin JP. 🙂
