Hi loves! It’s been such a long time since I’ve blogged – for numerous reasons. Adjusting to having two children and two part time jobs was part of it, but the real reason was that I wasn’t organizing my time well and allowing for some much needed me time. I’ve fallen into the classic “mother leaves herself last and therefore doesn’t do the jobs as well as she could” mode.
It’s currently lent and I’ve resolved to treat it like I treat the new years resolutions, except now I’m waaay more accountable because God is part of it! π
I will:
1. Blog more. Looking back at my old blog, A State of Sunshine, I am SO overwhelmingly grateful that I took the time to document those moments in Frankie’s life. It’s a treasure to have – and I’m already a year behind with my sweet Adelaide so no more wasting time! Blogging makes me a better mother – it helps me organize my thoughts, creativity, photos, memories, and taps into the writer within. So, yeah, I’m blogging more baby!
2. Be more present. I’m taking a break from facebook and instagram this Lent and it feels so good already. While I think these are great tools for keeping in touch and creativity, they are also time suckers.
3. Become plant based and walk more. 90% of you will think this is both crazy and necessary and I totally get that, but do some research and find out how amazing and healing it is for our bodies to be nourished by fruits and vegetables. If you’re interested I’m doing Dr. Furhmans 6 week plan. Also I’m getting a Fitbit and going for my 10,000 steps a day.
4. Pray with my husband every night. This one was his idea and just makes me want to marry him all over again.
Anyway that’s me now…and here’s a little update on us from my Instagram world the past year – we basically bought a new house and had a baby girl. Nothing big π
