1. Mary’s Meals
Mary’s Meals feed’s poor children. So…they’re awesome.
Basically, they provide a daily meal for a child simply if they go to school. It’s an incredible incentive for these children because with this program they are provided with both physical and mental nourishment. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Grassroots Films made a fantastic movie called Child31 to promote this great cause:

2. Original Style Shop
I was wearing my brand new sweater dress from this shop and was so excited to show Steve when he got home from work. Our conversation went something like this:
C: “Do you like my new sweater dress?? It’s from CHINA!!”
S: “Yeah, it’s nice babe.”
C: “And it’s from CHINA! Isn’t that cool??”
S: “So are all of Frankie’s toys.”
What I failed to mention is that this was handmade at a boutique in China that I got on Etsy…oh well!
Anyway, I love my new sweater dress (made in china) and you can buy one here.
3. Verily Magazine
Finally a magazine with some intelligence! This sounds cliche, but this magazine really is for real women.
The articles are so well written and relevant to women’s actual needs and interests. Also, none of the models are photoshopped.
Bravo to the founders for reaching women with a magazine that doesn’t leave them feeling not good enough, but rather encouraged and inspired! This is a go-to on my night stand.
You can subscribe to Verily here.
4. First snow of the Year!
Now most of you probably think snow in November is a horrible concept. I’d normally agree, but…
This Florida boy was thrilled beyond reason. Just completely besides himself, and naturally the first thing he did was throw snow at his mommy. 🙂
5. These photographs.
Pope Francis is a man full of Christ’s love. Even if your not Catholic, you can appreciate this one.
So glad to have helped! I totally agree – I'd take snow over rain any day!! Thanks for you comment Julie! 🙂
I've never heard of Verily… I went to the site and checked it out. It's nice that you can read past articles right on the site. It does seem like a great magazine… Thanks for the suggestion! I may get it as a gift for my sister. By the way, my kids have always lived where we have snow and they are still super excited every. single. time. I'll actually take snow and sunshine over rainy, cold and windy any day 🙂 Though I'm not always excited about dragging out all of the snow gear at 7 am 😉
