After growing up in a house of 4 girls, having a boy has been so much fun and so different from anything in my childhood. I mean, he absolutely never stops playing and moving and talking…..and I l-o-v-e it! Frank is so fun to play with and has such an awesome imagination and sense of humor. Everyday he makes Steve and I laugh.
Walking out of Publix the other day there was an old man with an eyepatch and a tommy bahama shirt sitting on the bench outside. Frank pointed to him loudly and said “WOW look at that big pirate mama!” Classic.
We took him swimming in our pool the other day and I decided to swim away for a minute since Steve was next to him. And of course he dives in and goes completely under. I swim across the pool and scoop him up in a panic. He just looks at me with a smile and said, “I’m a fish!”
In the living room the other day he taught me how cows play basketball. Who knew they could?
And finally while driving on the highway we decided to roll down the windows since it was a gorgeous 75 degree day. Never again. Frank tossed his shoes out the window and when we asked him where they went he just smiled sweetly and said, “My shoe is hiding!!”
Frank has also taken up sword fighting. With toy golf clubs…now isn’t that safe?? 🙂 Him and his Dad have had a few duals. He shouts loudly around the house…”En garde”
At the end of the day our house is covered in all things little boy. And again, I just love it.
