What a weekend! Definitely not a typical one. Friday started off with an unexpected call from the law school asking if I could photograph Justice Clarence Thomas at Ave Maria University. I gladly obliged, and what an honor it was! He is truly an incredible man – inspiring and faithful – and I’m very proud to have participated in such an event. Meanwhile, Steve got to see Senator Marco Rubio speak at a townhall meeting here in Naples. Great day altogether.
Every Saturday happens to be free for local residents at the Naples Zoo, so Steve, Frank, and I finally got a free morning to take advantage of the opportunity. What an awesome zoo!! We were surprised at how great it actually was…the pictures below speak for themselves.
And Saturday was followed by a great Superbowl Sunday, where we watched the Packers defeat the Steelers. (sorry Dad!) Frankie happens to be a Giants fan, so he slept through the whole thing…
So at the zoo, we first saw the turtles:
Frankie pondered what he saw:
Next, we saw a lion and a tiger:
Frankie decided to copy them and fell fast asleep:
So we walked around some more and found giraffes, a fosa, a Florida panther, a parrot, and a giant toucan:
And then, our little boy woke up…and just in time for the alligator feeding! Which was AWESOME!
Here is Frankie…and just behind him is the gator…yikes!
So the gator smiled…
And Frankie smiled back!
What a boy.
